Suggestion System runs as a cloud service or on a company server. The product line is one; record, review, reward point, and reporting screens do not change. The web-based portal opens in the browser. There is no install disc, separate mobile application, or desktop program.
Capacity is discussed against headcount. Price and calendar are clarified on the contact form. The choice is made from IT policy and data location.
Each organization has a dedicated database. Record, comment, point, and file rows are not visible to a neighboring organization. A dedicated file area holds attachments; a near miss photo lands in that area.
SSL protects sign-in details and the form. On the cloud several organizations use the same service, so records are separated by organization. An authorized user sees only their own organization.
The cloud offers a dedicated web address or a sign-in path on the main site. The IT team does not host an application server; operations run on the service side. The central administration team opens and monitors the organization account.
On a company server the software is installed on a company machine. Data stays inside the company boundary. Updates apply with internal-network approval; a package does not download automatically from outside. In that setup the marketing pages can be closed. The home page becomes the sign-in screen. A central administration screen is optional in that setup.
Corporate identity is logo, color, and typeface in both deployments. Staff see the same portal. Backups and maintenance run on a schedule. The demo portal shows a sample organization; live production data is not in that sample.
Access is through an address set up for the organization or a sign-in path on the main site. Both reach the same portal. Reporting does not change with deployment form. Forms, steps, and points stay the same.
